Carahsoft Technology has signed an agreement to offer cloud-based networking products from Arista Networks on a General Services Administration schedule contract.

Carahsoft will serve as a master government aggregator for Arista’s products and sell them to public sector agencies, Carahsoft said Tuesday.

Michael Shrader, Carahsoft vice president of innovative and intelligence solutions, said Arista’s offerings are intended to help agencies and resellers with cloud networking, storage and cybersecurity work.

“Partnering with Carahsoft helps Arista reach mission-critical customers in defense, national intelligence, and homeland Security as well as addressing key markets in federal, state, and local government through the GSA Schedule,“ said Douglas Gourlay, vice president of marketing for Arista Networks.

Arista’s software-defined network switches are designed to help government agencies standardize and automate information technology processes.

The switches support VMware and other network virtualization applications and seek to address power and cooling requirements in data centers.
