General Dynamics IT Plans 1,600 Jobs for HHS Contact Center - top government contractors - best government contracting event

general dynamics logoA General Dynamics business unit intends to recruit as many as 1,600 new employees for a facility in Sandy, Utah, Deseret News reported Wednesday.

Jasen Lee writes General Dynamics Information Technology will hire more workers to handle customer contact center activities for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

GDIT will start interviewing applicants next week for positions such as customer service representatives, call center managers, trainers and quality specialists, according to the report.

The business is opening a similar center for the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services in the fall and plans to hire 1,000 new workers for that facility, which is intended to handle nearly 55 million inquiries.
