Salient Federal Solutions will open a new facility to assist and direct the company’s federal and commercial clients on how to create, manage and operate mobile-based applications.
Martin Gillespie, former head of business development for Salient’s Homeland Security and Justice accounts, will serve as director of the mobility center of excellence with responsibility for leading operations and promoting the company“™s products, Salient said Tuesday.
Gillespie said the center will aim to build a community that vets through ideas and builds proof-of-concept prototypes.
“The increasingly mobile and distributed nature of the workforce, regardless of industry, lends itself to these capabilities,” said Dr. Bob Friedenberg, Salient chief technology officer.
Salient will open the center with the goal of complementing its Voyager/Query and Voyager/Command Tracker, used within the law enforcement markets and military bases, respectively.
Voyager/Command Tracker is intended to provide GPS services to users.
