SRA logoSRA International will provide information technology support services to the National Institutes of Health under a task order, part of a blanket purchase agreement worth up to $184 million.

The multi-award BPA will cover work for the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute's information technology and applications center until 2017, the company said in a release.

“We look forward to supporting NHLBI's clinical data management and other scientific requirements, as well as their program's administrative needs,“ said Tom Nixon, health group senior vice president at SRA.

SRA is one of five companies competing for orders under the BPA and GovCon Wire has a list of awardees here.

SRA’s task order includes support for NHLBI's databases and data analyses tools and assessments of software alternatives to support the institute's IT requirements.

Work on the task order could last up to five years and fetch $9.7 million for SRA if all options are exercised.

NHLBI provides research, training and education to promote the prevention and treatment of sleep disorders and heart, lung and blood diseases.
