A joint venture of Thales Group and Raytheon has unveiled a cyber product for civil and military airspace surveillance radars that aim to secure air operations, Military and Aerospace Electronics reported Thursday.
John Keller writes Fullerton, Calif.-based ThalesRaytheonSystems developed the CybAIR RadBox, which works to monitor operational data, inform users about abnormal radar behavior and help operators to view the impact of a cyber threat.
CybAIR RadBox is part of ThalesRaytheonSystems“™ CybAIR Vision product portfolio, which Keller writes is designed to help operators address irregularities in radars, networks and air traffic control and command systems.
The cyber attack protection system includes services and tools to train users, scale the system and help investigate cyber attacks, the report said.
Keller reports France’s air force and defense procurement agency are evaluating the CybAIR RadBox at a testing center in Mont-de-Marsan.
