Vion Corp. has developed new cloud storage and data security products as part of corporate efforts to expand its portfolio and meet the growing demands of customers.
The new archiving products are based on network-attached storage technology from Crossroads Systems and on Hitachi Data Systems“™ content platform that works to help customers secure and maintain large volumes of data, Vion said Wednesday.
Carl Fulp, Vion chief technology officer and vice president of product management, said the new products are intended as the company’s foundation for its initial cloud storage and services.
Vion launched pilot data protection and server and storage virtualization offerings in April and the new offerings seek to help customers synchronize and share files.
Vion also plans to offer new products for data protection, server and storage virtualization, cloud storage and services, big data, motion video, open source storage and virtual desktop infrastructure.
