Accenture Plc has acquired Acquity Group Ltd, the second-largest independent digital marketing company in the U.S., for nearly $316 million in cash as part of an effort to expand digital marketing and eCommerce offerings.
The acquisition extends Accenture’s marketing, technology and analytics services for chief marketing officers and brand managers, the company said Monday.
Brian Whipple, global managing director of Accenture Interactive, said Acquity Group’s eCommerce and digital platform capabilities will integrate into Accenture’s strategy, analytics, technology and marketing operations.
Acquity Group provides digital marketing and technical services intended to help customers boost their brand and eCommerce operations.
