ais logAmerican Industrial Systems IncAmerican Industrial Systems has launched fresh naval multifunction displays with a rugged touchscreen interface designed to help marine forces respond to extreme conditions.

The commercial-off-the-shelf marine displays work with monitoring and control applications and meet DNV standards for maritime navigation and radio communications systems, AIS said Monday.

The ISO-certified company designed the products to aid in marine operations under severe temperatures, irregular humidity, vibrations and enclosures.

The displays are certified to resist rain, snow, dust, dirt, water and corrosion, the company said.

AIS also designed the bezel to meet several installation requirements and upgraded the products' capabilities such as brightness, contrast, viewing angle, optical bonding and dimming.

The engineering design integrates mean-time-between-failures and manages the frequency of maintenance and inspection, it added.
