Brian Haskett Joins Ciber as VP and Practice Director; Bruce Douglas Comments

CiberIBM Global Services’ former partner and executive Brian Haskett has been appointed Ciber Inc.’s vice president and practice director for the application development and maintenance businesses.

Haskett will manage more than 1,500 consultants and developers to execute and deliver services, Ciber said Tuesday.

He previously served as IBM’s delivery director and sales executive on top of his role as partner.

Bruce Douglas, Ciber’s senior vice president, said Haskett will aim to grow the company’s biggest practice area.

Before joining Ciber, Haskett served as vice president at CA Technologies, helping the firm forge decisions, centralize structures and implement strategic plans to meet the market’s changing needs.

While there, he enacted business transformation affecting 13,000 employees, 60 product lines, nine business units and all corporate functions.

Haskett holds an MBA in IT management from the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
