DataDirect Networks powers a third of the TOP500.org list of the world’s clustered computers by performance.
Nearly half of the top 250 and more than two-thirds of the top 100 use DDN, the storage systems and processing product provider said July 1.
Among DNN’s recent deployments are at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, University of Texas-Texas Advanced Computing Center, Total, National Energy Scientific Computing Center and Indiana University,
The five facilities respectively rank second, sixth, 11th, 24th and 46th in the list.
“This latest TOP500 ranking affirms DDN’s commitment to solving the challenges of high scalability,” said John Josephakis, senior vice president of global high performance computing sales at DDN.
TOP500.org compares the analytics, simulation, scale and TCO metrics of the world’s supercomputers to determine the rankings.
DDN and its vendor partners offer a product portfolio that addresses big data workflow applicable to aerospace, finance, defense, energy exploration and other HPC markets.
