Pierre-Paul Allard, a 19-year Cisco Systems veteran, has become the president for global field operations and senior vice president for worldwide sales at Avaya Holdings Corp., Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

According to the article, Allard’s appointment comes as Tom Mitchell prepares to step down as global sales head in September.
Allard has played a role in the transformation of Avaya’s marketing strategies since he joined the company, CEO Kevin Kennedy was quoted as saying in a staff memo.
