DRS- ExecutiveMosaicDRS Technologies has won a $25 million contract from the Air Force to provide two transporter erector replacement vehicles by November 2015 in support of the military’s intercontinental ballistic missile operations.

The vehicles will be used to transport, position and remove the Minuteman III booster from launch sites in California, North Dakota, Montana, Utah and Wyoming, DRS said June 4.

The project has a potential contract value of $92 million if the option to deliver 26 mobile vehicles until September 2019 is exercised.

DRS Environmental Systems in Cincinnati, Ohio, will undertake the work to redesign, modernize and build the erector vehicles that will replace those in use since 1988.

“The Environmental Systems team has been supporting the Air Force ICBM program office for over 20 years and is committed to providing continued support to a critical part of the our nation“™s strategic deterrent forces,“ said Roger Sexauer, DRS president for power and environmental systems.
