A team from IBM‘s corporate service corps has arrived in the Philippines to help local agencies address traffic congestion in the country’s capital city of Manila, the Philippine Star reported Thursday.
Michael Punongbayan writes the team will work on the project with the Metro Manila Development Authority, the Makati City government and other local organizations.
The 12-member team with personnel from the U.S., India, Brazil, Spain, Turkey, Argentina, Japan and the Netherlands will assist agencies with internal processes and management systems.
“(Previous visiting CSC teams) have successfully collaborated with a broad range of SMEs, nongovernment and government organizations and worked on high-impact projects across emerging markets in the country,“ said Mariels Almeda Winhoffer, IBM Philippines president and country general manager.
