County officials discovered almost $3 million in revenues after leveraging a fraud detection program that combines LexisNexis analytics technology and TMA’s investigative services, LexisNexis said July 15.
“Greenville County is showing its taxpayers that it is a trusted steward of taxpayer dollars, committed to discovering and correcting improperly requested tax benefits, as well as detecting and preventing fraud,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO of government services for LexisNexis Risk Solutions.
“With this program, counties rely on LexisNexis and TMA to do the heavy lifting, enabling them to focus on their core competencies of billing and collections,” said TMA CEO Richard Cooke.
LexisNexis says the county has collected more than $1 million from 2,552 delinquent accounts to date.
The company helps government agencies derive insights from big data to manage risks and combat fraud.
