Northrop Grumman has won a $29 million contract to operate web-based enterprise system that will work to help determine eligibility of Wyoming residents for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program benefits.
The Wyoming Eligibility System is intended to interface with external verification systems and other state systems such as the federal health insurance marketplace Northrop said Tuesday.
Northrop will design, develop, implement, operate and maintain the system under the four-year contract.
Beverly Roberts, Northrop director of state health and human services programs, said the company based the WES off of its Avance platform.
Avance is intended as a modular, Web-based, enterprise architecture and works to process applications for multiple programs under the Affordable Care Act.
WES is scheduled to start people Oct. 1 and the company will also provide training and help desk services to staff members that will be responsible for handling applications.
