A Parsons Corp. joint venture has been selected to provide program management services for the $2 billion renovation program of the San Francisco Airport’s Terminal 1.
Under the contract, the Parsons team will provide program and design management, planning and construction support services for the entire 10-year duration of the program, Parsons said Thursday.
The renovation program includes construction of 18 to 24 new aircraft gates, airline ticket counters and concession facilities. The company will also provide services in the consolidation of passenger screening checkpoints, baggage handling systems, baggage screening systems and programwide seismic upgrades.
Parsons said the City and County of San Francisco Airport Commission chose the company for its experience in major terminal programs, delivery experience and design-build projects.
“We understand the importance of collaboration and partnering with the Airport, and T1 Partners“™ goal is to achieve an exceptional program outcome for SFO and all of its stakeholders,” said Todd Wager, Parsons Group President.
The SFO Terminal 1 redevelopment program is set to be completed by 2023.
