Parsons has been selected to perform construction management services for a $162 million capital improvement program run by the South San Francisco Unified School District in California.
The project seeks to repair and modernize K-12 facilities across the district’s 17 school locations, Parsons said Tuesday.
Under the contract, the company will manage the replacement of more than 100 portable classrooms and refurbishments of science laboratories and fire and safety systems.
Virginia Grebbien, Parsons group president, said the firm will use collaboration tools to encourage open communication among school district administrators and families of students.
The SSFUSD modernization program is scheduled to be completed by 2014, Parsons says.
