Rockwell Collins has awarded National Technical Systems a contract to provide equipment and services that intend to help assess the performance and capabilities of a new Airbus plance.
Work to be carried out at a plant in Albuquerque, N. M., will include the production of mechanical tools for simulating trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuators of the A350 XWB fleet, NTS said Tuesday.
The project is NTS’ latest following a series of environmental and flight evaluation activities it has conducted for the plane’s other Rockwell Collins-made components.
“We are honored to be selected again by Rockwell Collins and to be part of this THSA program for the A350 XWB aircraft,” said William McGinnis, NTS president and CEO.
McGinnis added that the company expanded its facilities with a view to meet growing demand for testing and engineering services in the aerospace and aviation sectors.
