CNSI has teamed up with the states of Illinois and Michigan to roll out a cloud computing-enabled Medicaid system in both states.
The technology partnership involves development and deployment of an automated real-time Medicaid Management Information System, or Medicaid-as-a-service, CNSI said Monday.
Illinois started the project on July 23 and Michigan began on Thursday.
“We are proud that this public-private partnership is one of the first of its kind fulfilling the vision that CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) had to encourage collaboration amongst states,” CNSI President Adnan Ahmed said.
CNSI seeks to establish a platform for the states to collaborate, share resources and implement compliance rules and regulations.
The company aims to help both states and the federal government save between 20 and 40 percent of operational costs over the next five years.
