Day & Zimmerman to Continue FirstEnergy Power Plant Services; Gary McKinney Comments

DayZimmA Day & Zimmerman division has signed a multi-year contract renewal to continue services for three plants run by FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co.

Day & Zimmerman has worked to help FENOC handle some 50 fuel outages and modified capital projects at those sites since 1999, D&Z said Wednesday.

“We are proud of the work we’ve done with FENOC over the past 14 years and are honored for the opportunity to continue to work with them,” said Gary McKinney, Day & Zimmermann NPS president.

The D&Z unit that focuses on construction, engineering and maintenance services will help FENOC sustain operations at the Davis-Besse, Perry and Beaver Valley power stations.
