HP and SAP have partnered to create a cloud-based offering that is meant to provide insight from big data analysis without any upfront payment.
HP As-a-Service Solution for SAP HANA leverages HP analytics and information management with SAP HANA hardware, software license and management services, HP said Sunday.
The new offering runs in a managed cloud architecture and offers migration and will become available to global clients for a monthly fee.
Jules Beck, vice president for enterprise application services at HP, said the HP-SAP collaboration sought to “raise the bar“ on what clients can do to remain relevant.
“Today“™s market pressures create the need for companies to know in real time what is going on with their enterprise, their clients and even their competitors, so they can stay competitive,“ he said.
The product will first be rolled out in Australia and New Zealand, according to HP.
SAP“™s Eric Johnson, senior vice president for database and technology solutions, added, “SAP is laser-focused on our joint clients“™ business challenges and technology needs, and with HP as our strategic partner we are delivering integrated solutions.“
