Jacobs Engineering Group will conduct inspections needed to guarantee the safe implementation of road projects in Ireland under a government contract with an undisclosed amount.
The National Roads Authority seeks to review the consistency of health and safety measures taken at project sites as well as assess traffic management systems in all of the country’s transportation routes, Jacobs said Tuesday.
According to Bob Duff, Jacobs Group vice president, the project is an offshoot of a health and safety program the company had previously delivered.
“We are pleased to continue our long working relationship with the NRA in the development and maintenance of the national road network in Ireland,“ Duff added.
The latest contract follows Jacobs' completion of a project to develop a system intended to help the NRA perform traffic-related surveys, according to officials.
