A team of Colorado-based Lockheed Martin employees have raised more than $51,000 for the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure cycling event.
Lockheed’s team represented the company’s space systems and information systems and global solutions business units, Lockheed said Monday.
ADA holds the Tour de Cure as part of its goal to help prevent diabetes and treat patients affected by the disease.
Rick Ambrose, executive vice president of Lockheed’s space systems business, said the company’s employees team up every year for the effort.
The cycling series is held across the U.S. and Lockheed workers in Colorado have participated in the event for six years now.
