The F-35C joins the other two variants in demonstrating that these jets can be refueled using the same tanker platform but with different methods, Lockheed said Friday.

Lt. Col. Patrick Moran served as the test pilot of the aircraft, called CF-1, according to the company.

Lockheed’s first strike fighter squadron for the Navy underwent a flight trial earlier this month at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
