Northern Virginia Tech Council to Launch Veterans Employment Program

The Northern Virginia Technology Council will launch a new program intended to provide veterans access to employment opportunities in Virginia’s technology sector.

The NVTC will hold an event on August 20 at ICF International in Fairfax, Va., to officially launch the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative, the council announced Thursday.

Gov. Bob McDonnell and Sen. Mark Warner will attend the event as guest speakers to discuss the details about the initiative.

The NVTC program will provide veterans with information on internships, mentorships, certifications and job opportunities.

Its member companies will also receive more information on hiring and training veterans during the launch.

Other NVTC members and executives that will speak at the launch are Steve Cooker, Al Grasso, Bobbie Kilberg, David Lucien, Sudhakar Kesavan and Bob Temmplin.
