General Dynamics EbizA General Dynamics business unit has won a $15.1 million contract to deploy and test satellite communications on-the-move technologies for the U.S. National Guard, Military & Aerospace Electronics reported Monday.

John Keller writes General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies will install up to 80 Ku-band terminals and X-band and Ka-band conversion kits in vehicles for troops to send voice and data when traveling over rugged terrains.

The terminals are designed with a flush mount system and are designed for use on both military and commercial vehicles, according to the article.

Military & Aerospace Electronics reports the National Guard wants to use the technology in its liaison response vehicles.
