Harris CapRock has awarded BringCom a multi-year contract to provide fiber optic technology and services to a U.S. government office in Djibouti for accessing the Internet.
The contract is intended utilize BringCom-run teleports in Djibouti and the company’s network operating center in Sterling, Va., BringCom said Wednesday.
Jesse Robinson, vice president for federal programs at BringCom, said the company aims to meet telecommunication needs of government customers in domestic and overseas locations.
Harris CapRock is responsible for providing the unnamed customer managed network equipment and communications services.
Sterling-based BringCom also offers satellite and microwave services for clients in the U.S., Africa, Caribbean and the Middle East.
