Kratos Subsidiary to Update Eutelsat Geolocator System

satellite airforceA Kratos Defense and Security Solutions subsidiary has won a contract to help Eutelsat refresh its radio frequency interference geolocator over the next five years.

SAT Corp. will update systems, maintain software and provide technical support to Eutelsat for the satID platform, Kratos said Thursday.

SatID works to pinpoint interference sources using satellite technology and SAT Corp. will help upgrade the system to version 3.0.

“As RF interference continues to grow at all frequency bands, mitigation tools must evolve to battle this growth,” said Dan Ojennes, satID product manager.

The update is intended to address accuracy, response times, user experience design and carrier monitoring features.
