mcafee_logo_1McAfee has named IID its technology partner in a move to provide customers with integrated cybersecurity offerings that can help protect enterprise systems against potential threats and unauthorized access.

The newly-designated status falls under the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program which was announced following the consolidation of IID’s signals and resolver products to the ePolicy Orchestrator platform of McAfee, IID said Wednesday.

An objective of the combined offerings is to optimize data processes and operations as well as improve an information technology infrastructure’s capabilities to detect, manage and eliminate suspicious virtual elements that can damage IT resources.

Ed Barry, McAfee SIA vice president, said the partnership aims to offer IT platforms that can help organizations save money and time spent on countermeasures against threats that can compromise enterprise networks.

According to IID CEO Lars Harvey, a target of the collaboration is to create solutions that would automate and centralize information sharing, security and threat detection capabilities throughout an entire IT infrastructure.
