Oracle has launched a new cloud computing service for U.S. federal agencies that is intended to help agencies comply with the White House’s “Cloud First” policy.
The company will make three software-as-a-service products available through its Oracle Government Cloud suite and also plans to roll out infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service options in the future, Oracle said Wednesday.
Mark Johnson, senior vice president for Oracle’s public sector business, said the standards-based suite seeks to address the public sector’s requirements on transparency, performance, agility and security.
Products available through the Oracle Government Cloud suite include Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle RightNow Policy Automation and Oracle Learn Cloud.
Oracle owns, manages and certifies the suite’s technology.
