The emirate's executive council has approved the funding for the development project that covers a 300-meter concrete wharf meant to carry loads, as well as pontoons designed to accommodate more than 280 boats, according to the publication.
The work aims to upgrade facilities for fishermen and ferry services for the public, the report says.
Guy Mehula, Parsons MENA+ president, told WAM the company intends to help ADPC convert Delma Port into a strategic hub.
Parsons will serve as consultant for developing the port, reports WAM.
Mohamed Al Shamisi, acting CEO of ADPC, also told the publication the investment aims to develop local communities and sustain businesses for economic growth in the region.
