Tim Watson writes Capgemini collaborated with MIT Sloan Management Review to poll 1,500 executives from more than 100 countries for the “Embracing Digital Technology: A New Strategic Imperative“ survey.
The results reveal that approximately 78 percent of respondents see the crucial role of fresh technologies in the next two years and 63 percent lag behind on social media, mobile and analytics adoption, according to the report.
Respondents intend to fulfill their organizations' digital goals, while half of the surveyed executives and managers told Capgemini their enterprise plans to invest in those technologies, SYS-CON Media reports.
Didier Bonnet, senior vice president and global practices lead for Capgemini Consulting, said C-suite could drive digital transition in their companies by forming and communicating objectives.
“The opportunities to improve company performance through digital transformation are clear, the execution is difficult, but the only wrong move when it comes to digital transformation is not to make any move at all,“ she added.
