Ciber will update the New York Institute of Technology’s campus information system as NYIT looks to further build its services offerings and secure the data of students, faculty and staff.
The company and NYIT’s Office of Information Technology and Infrastructure will work to replace replace the university’s legacy Datatel system with Oracle‘s PeopleSoft Campus services, PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal 9.0 and business intelligence technology, Ciber said Friday.
NYIT aims to deliver services to students at several campuses and online through a service-oriented architecture and Web-based platform.
Mike Dillon, Ciber vice president and Oracle practice lead, said the team aims to help the university generate return on investments and achieve its goals.
Ciber will deploy a team of IT consultants to install applications for student records, student financials, financial aid and academic advising, as well as develop an architecture for governance, processes and information workflow across NYIT.
