Dell and ikaSystems have partnered to deploy business process outsourcing services and platforms with the goal of helping Affinity Health Plan offer its products on New York state’s health insurance exchange.
Affinity is a nonprofit issuer that works with primary care facilities and community health centers to provide coverage for more than 265,000 customers in the metropolitan area, Dell said Thursday.
The alliance aims to unify Dell’s BPO services and ikaSystems cloud-based technology, which works to help insurers to automate claims processing and comply with federal regulations.
Sid Nair, Dell Services vice president and global general manager for healthcare and life sciences, said the company aims to leverage its healthcare and exchange experience to help clients fulfill their mission.
“We're very pleased to work with Dell to serve Affinity and enable them to compete and thrive in the exchange environment,” said Joe Marabito, ikaSystems CEO.
Dell processes more than 96 million claims and 1.3 million enrollment transactions per year, while also running contact centers that field more than 11 million calls per year for health insurance organizations.
