Previously, as a strategy and organization expert, he focused on strategic communications within the healthcare business. His professional experience includes knowledge of public health, managed care, healthcare provider groups, media relations and pharmaceutical marketing, as well as alliance development and social media.
During his career, Foster has worked in a variety of environments ranging from global public relations agencies and trade associations to national political campaigns and healthcare provider groups.
He led a number of national and global public awareness and communications campaigns for companies including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Amgen, and Novartis.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, Foster served as chairman of the U.S. healthcare practice for Burson-Marsteller.
In that role, he led the company’s efforts to expand its footprint into the public health sector and other key market sectors, including health information technology, pharmacy benefit management and clinical diagnostics.
He has previously served as adjunct professor and guest lecturer at Columbia University, Western Kentucky University and Howard University on topics ranging from strategic communications to health policy.
He has a B.A. degree in philosophy from the University of Virginia and an M.S. degree in applied behavior science from Johns Hopkins University.
