Jacobs Engineering Group has won a contract to help a U.K. government agency assess an estimated $5 billion flood and coastal risk management investment initiative.
The water and environmental management framework contract with England's Environment Agency contains four base years and an additional two-year option, Jacobs said Tuesday.
“We are pleased to continue our long standing relationship with the Environment Agency and support them in meeting the challenging outcome measure and efficiency targets they have set themselves going forward,” said Bob Duff, a Jacobs group vice president.
Jacobs will work on strategic flood modeling, mapping and data management projects and also carry out environmental assessments, economic appraisals and design work.
The company and the agency have worked together for more than 10 years on flood and coastal risk management.
