The U.S. Army has selected AT&T Government Solutions as one of 12 businesses that will compete for task orders to provide communication and transmission systems to the branch under a potential $4.1 billion contract.
AT&T is eligible to provide satellite, microwave, fiber optic, over-the horizon, radio and wireless services to the Army, the company said Wednesday.
The Project Manager for Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems awarded the contract.
“AT&T Government Solutions is honored to have been awarded the opportunity to serve the U.S. Army in such a critical capacity and we look forward to supporting PM DCATS for a long time to come,” said John Klebonis, vice president of AT&T’s Defense Department segment.
