Mark Gibbs has been appointed president of Greater China operations at SAP, where he will be responsible for operations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Since he began serving in the interim lead role in SAP’s China operations nine months ago, Gibbs helped the company reach double-digit revenue growth in the third quarter of 2013, SAP announced Wednesday.
Gibbs will report directly to Robert Enslin, SAP global operations president and SAP global managing board member.
In previous role as SAP Asia Pacific region COO, Gibbs was in-charge of the company’s operations in Japan, Australia and New Zealand, China, India and Southeast Asia.
“With more than 20-year experience in business software industry, Mark will lead the China team to continue delivering value to all Chinese customers through our China Growth Plan and long-term commitment to the market,” said Enslin.
