Microsoft will help train African startup companies on growing their businesses at a conference in October, allAfrica reported Oct. 9.
The company intends to mentor participants to the DEMO Africa 2013 conference, where finalists will introduce their products and services, according to the report.
Members will also gain access to Microsoft“™s BizSpark program, which provides more than 50,000 companies worldwide software and support services with no charge, the report says.
Mteto Nyati, managing director of Microsoft South Africa, told the publication startups can use the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform toto build and implement applications and services through Microsoft“™s data centers.
