Teradata has debuted a new enterprise portfolio designed to analyze and host big data in a cloud computing environment, V3.co.uk reported Monday.
Michael Passingham writes the cloud suite is comprised of products and services that aim to help customers manage and store massive amounts of data.
The company intends to start offering cloud database services and a Hadoop-based data management software in the first half of 2014, Teradata Labs President Scott Gnau was quoted as saying by V3.co.uk.
Passingham reports Netflix selected Teradata’s cloud technology to gain insights into data generated from the 37 million global subscribers of the streaming service.
