YarcData and Selventa have teamed up to use the former’s data analytics tool to help pharmaceutical businesses identify drugs, discover new medicines and speed up deliveries.
Selventa will use YarcData’s Urika platform designed for real-time data searches to deliver personalized medicine to patients, the companies said Tuesday.
“With 50 percent of drugs ineffective or worse, there is an immediate opportunity to better match treatments to individuals based on their biomarker profiles,” said Dave de Graaf, Selventa president and CEO.
Dave Anstey, global segment leader for life sciences at YarcData, said the companies aim to help pharmaceutical companies build databases for discovering new drugs and bringing them to market.
The companies combined their offerings with the goal of finding unknown patterns and relationships in genes, proteins, disease structures and other biomarkers to further drug development.
