BAE Systems and Finmeccanica subsidiary Selex ES have forged an alliance to offer electronic warfare operational support services to international Eurofighter Typhoon clients.
The companies will jointly design, build, deliver and integrate systems intended to address the EWOS requirements of the fighter jet’s customers, Selex said Thursday.
Ramie Smith, Selex’s EWOS vice president, said BAE and Selex also agreed to explore electronic warfare support offerings for other aircraft programs.
Selex says it provides more than 60 percent of Typhoon avionics technology, including infrared search and track, radar and defense aids systems.
