BAE, TerraGo Extend Geospatial Intell Tech Partnership; John Timar Comments

GeocodingBAE Systems and TerraGo have extended their partnership to continue developing technologies and services that are intended to help government and commercial customers with geospatial intelligence work.

TerraGo’s location intelligence technologies will be integrated into BAE’s SOCET Geospatial eXploitation Products and GXP Xplorer offerings for image and video analysis, data management and geospatial tools, TerraGo said Monday.

The companies started the partnership n 2008.

John Timar, vice president for sales at TerraGo, said the companies intended to further collaborate on location intelligence and geospatial technologies with the goal of helping clients carry out operations.

BAE offers the TerraGo GeoXray products to complement its GXP Xplorer services, TerraGo says.

The GeoXray system works to discover location data from big data sources such as social media, blog posts, news feeds, internal documents and the Internet.

BAE also intends to combine the production of mapping and imaging technologies for geospatial collaboration and field data gathering online.
