Citrix Systems has introduced a new cloud service for healthcare organizations to process clinical data as they work to comply with regulatory requirements.
The Citrix ShareFile Cloud for Healthcare service works to segregate data in secure hubs for processing protected health information, Citrix said Tuesday.
“We’re doubling down on the healthcare industry given tremendous interest from health organizations in streamlining how information is stored, shared and managed,” said Jesse Lipson, vice president and general manager of data sharing at Citrix.
ShareFile is designed to help users share health information, transmit files, private and public networks, archive data and fulfill requirements of the updated Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Information security firm Sword & Shield Enterprise Security Inc. evaluated how ShareFile stores data, according to Citrix.
