Computer Sciences Corp. plans to transfer more than 400 employees and subcontractors from Lanham, Md. to an office located five miles away in Largo, the Washington Business Journal reported Tuesday.
Jill Aitoro writes the transfer is intended to help CSC continue with its plan to cut more than 1 million square feet of real estate by the end of next year.
The Largo office will have 46,000 square feet of space compared to the 275,000-square-foot office in Lanham, Aitoro reports.
Many of the Lanham employees worked under a contract with the Internal Revenue Service and were gradually transferred to other functions over the last 10 years according to the report.
