FireEye has rolled out a new security offering designed to protect the core components of an enterprise data center.
FireEye Data Center Security leverages the company“™s real-time threat prevention platform to discover and quarantine content and server targeted attacks and advanced malware, FireEye said Wednesday.
“Unstructured data often represents the core assets in a company and we now have a solution to help protect the repositories that store them,“ said Manish Gupta, senior vice president of products at FireEye.
The company cited a Verizon data breach report as saying malware was responsible for 40 percent of data breaches while compromised systems were responsible for 54 percent of issues.
The offering is intended to share intelligence and combat zero-day and unknown threats to unstructured data.
