Intel Receives Two Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Awards

IntelLogoIntel received two awards from the Defense Department‘s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve during an event on Friday.

Both awards recognize the company’s programs and policies for hiring U.S. National Guard and Reserve members, Intel announced Monday.

The Extraordinary Employer Support Award is for employer support to the services, an award Intel was eligible for after receiving the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award and the Pro-Patria Award in 2000 and 2012, respectively.

Intel received the state-level Above and Beyond Award because it exceeded the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act requirements for Guard and Reserve employees.

Brian Krzanich, Intel CEO, accepted the two awards at a ceremony at Intel’s campus at Folsom, Calif.
