International SOSInternational SOS and a Chinese state-run oil and gas company have teamed up to continue developing health and security risk management strategies to protect business travelers.

The employees’ welfare group has provided China National Petroleum Corp. and its subsidiaries with medical and travel assistance services across 30 projects and 12 countries since 2000, International SOS said Thursday.

Zhang Xin, CNPC general manager of foreign affairs and John Williams, International SOS managing director in China, signed a global strategic partnership framework at a ceremony held in Beijing.

CNPC and International SOS will also work together to provide preventive medical support and risk awareness training to CNPC workers before they travel abroad.
