John Keese: Number of FedRAMP-Certified Companies to Increase - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Cloud Computing, ExecutiveBizMore companies will obtain FedRAMP certifications as agencies increasingly acquire cloud computing services, Autonomic Resources CEO John Keese told Federal Times in a story published Sunday.

Andy Medici writes that Keese also said some companies are hesitant to go through the FedRAMP process because of cloud’s disruptive nature but that will change as agencies continue migrating into cloud environments.

“We have already made the corporate decision that FedRAMP was going to be the eye of the needle through which all of the camels would pass,“ Keese told Federal Times.

Eight companies have obtained a FedRAMP certification to provide agencies cloud services, according to the report.

“At the current rate we are moving activities into the cloud, we are going to need more authorized service providers,“ Bernard Mazer, Interior Department chief information officer, said to Federal Times.
