Nelson Ford, LMI president and CEO, presented his healthcare management insights to a House Veterans Affairs subcommittee during a Nov. 14 roundtable session.
The event hosted by the health subcommittee tackled issues such as extending care options and managing the Veterans Health Administration‘s more than $4 billion in annual expenditures for non-service-related care, LMI said Thursday.
Ford said the VA managed to deliver healthcare services to veterans and handle extra-VHA fees and third-party reimbursement for non-service care provided inside the VHA.
Prior to LMI, he served in roles such as undersecretary of the Army, deputy assistant defense secretary for health budgets and financial policy and chief financial officer of Georgetown University Medical Center.
